Labs Publish Application for Security Teams
The CZ.NIC Laboratories have published a new web application for managing threats related to the DNS system: the Malicious Domain Manager, released as open source software.
The application is primarily intended for top-level domain administrators who can use it to collect data from pre-set sources, maintain comprehensive records of the current status of managed domains and contact their owners to ensure corrections are made. The CZ.NIC-CSIRT security team has been using this software successfully for several months. This Tuesday members of the team officially presented the application at the international conference of security teams named FIRST/TF-CSIRT Technical Colloquium in Rome. More information is available on the website of the Malicious Domain Manager project and the CZ.NIC blog (in Czech).
